Hanging Around

We just did a bit of housework and gardening and hung around the house today with a small stroll in the afternoon.

Here are a few different angles of the chateau in the village - mostly I shoot it from the bedroom window.

Another Day Another Hike

With nice weather returning it was back to the plan: Look out the bedroom window

get organised and hike out of town in a new direction.

Through villages

with their churches and barns

enjoying the views of the mountains around

dipping in and out of forests

traversing fields

admiring the flora

and eating wild strawberries as we go.

Makes it easy to do a three hour hike.

A hike is planned for every other day: Hike 1 (or four if you count the informal ones) - a lovely mix of forest, fields and picturesque villages - plus we saw a red deer in one of the fields
